Thanks, Cherie.  I'll try it.  Sounds delish!!
Coming back from Mt. Home this afternoon Andy said,"  Look, look, Jane.   A dead monkey!"   Now just in case you think we had a liquid lunch I will have to explain our experience with dead monkeys.   A few winters ago, on a very chilly January afternoon, we were cruising along the hiway down in Mt. Home and actually did see a dead monkey lying on the side of the road.  We didn't go back to check it out because 1. it was obviously dead and 2. there was no place to really slow  down and  check it out.   So today, we found a place to turn around and headed back to view the body.   We got even with it and Andy slowed down so I could get a better look.  Well---it was a dead woodchuck.   And just as we went past it, a garbage truck came by and squashed it a little more.   So the second view was not too keen.   Nothing like really smashed woodchuck----well, I'll not say anymore.

Sounds great....here's something to have with strawberries and all fresh fruit...pineapple/bananas etc.
1 jar of marshmellow Fluff, 1 lg. package Philly cream cheese..
blend together and add some half/half for consistency...for dipping...YUMMY.... Got that from my friends in Florida..
Just keep in fridge and take out as needed...if you can keep from eating it all.   Delightful..  I have been on fresh pineapple binge...and strawberries....sooooooo good.

We are really taking advantage of the super growing season this year.   We picked 4 gallons of blueberries last week and Andy picked another 2 this AM.  Our freezer is full!   Plus strawberries and peaches.  What a treat, especially after having to do without last year.   I made an angel food cake and we will have it tonight with fresh strawberries.

After all that ^%$**#@! about the weather---it is beautiful.  Mid 50's at night,  80's during the day and low humidity.   I guess Someone heard us complaining?!!   Asi es la vida!

Happy belated B.D., Wayne.   Sorry you had bad service at the steak house.  Especially when it was a special occasion.
Have cleaned house all day.   Now I am pooped and we are going over to Cookies on the lake for something to eat.   We vowed that we were going to stay at home all week and work on the house and also eat in.  Well----so much for that.   Basically the problem is that I have no will power and neither does Andy.  One of us is going to have to change---but who

No rain here today. Thunder but nothing. Went out to steak house for my B.D. Service was terrible, Complained so got a $50 cerifiate for the next time we go out to eat there.  I surpose I'll go back to use them. Still hot out at 9 PM. Power bill will be high next month. But got to have air going.

Right now we are just under 2 inches of having as much rain as we have all year!!!!   The mold is the big problem.  It is over the top.   Lots of people are having allergic type symptoms to it.   Sinus infections and so on.   Ugh.   But it will warm up and dry out----no rain in the forecast for the forseeable future,  a good thing

Good grief....that is terrible.  The mosquitos will be something next with all that moisture.

We were hoping that the rain would not come today.  But it did.  Taney County to the west had 5 inches in 2 hours.   We had almost 3 inches in our rain gauge.  Folks--this needs to end sometime.

Officially crashed and burned.  We have been going non-stop for two weeks and last night was the last straw.  Worked at the snack shack until after 10 and when I got home, that was that.   Slept until nearly 9 today which is very uncommon for me.  Now we are off to Mt. Home to take a friend out to lunch.   Feeling much, much better.    Just not a 20 year old anymore.   But---duh---we all know that.  !!!!   Have a great weekend everyone---and be safe.

Just had a shower of rain. Looks bad  out. The pool party on the 4th is from 6-10 with a live band, which is really good. They have been here several times before. Of course all the good food,  so I guess I won't be going to bed early. Living next to pool has it advantages and disatvantages. Mower here  today hoping to get done before it rains. Hope everyone is having a good week.

The first year they had fireworks at Theodosia on Bull Shoals a group of firemen set them off on the far side of the lake.  It had been raining off and on all day so they had covered the fireworks with a tarp when they staged them for later that night.  They kept them covered when they started the fireworks after dark.  You could see their flashlights as they ran  up and down the hill setting off each firework as they had planned.  Then one went astray and lit all of the fireworks under the tarp.   That was a mess as they went off all at once and the firemen beat a hasty retreat to safety.  But it was a spectacular finale!

Nothing like fireworks over the lakes/water...I remember that well as a kid growing up at a lake.  Everyone would gather at lakeside while a neighbor who had MONEY back then...would shoot them off over the lake.    Kids with sparklers....but one year I remember, one of the fireworks hit the wheelbarrow full of fireworks....and they went all directions...as did everyone nearby...lol   No one was hurt...but people sure scattered...that end the display for that year.  lol

Good to hear that you are comfortable Wayne.  And nice to have the good news about Midland, Cherie.  The last time I was there was when we  brought my mom up for the Class of '36's reunion in 2001.  Seems as if it went downhill after that.
Fireworks are a challenge here this year.  Usually they fire them off the bluffs over the lakes.  This year, since the bluffs are under water, they have gotten creative.   They will use floating platforms on one lake.  The other fireworks, on Bull Shoals, will be behind a building up on a hill so everyone can see them.  So those who want fireworks extravaganzas will still get them, just a little different this year.

I used to go out to our store...had the parking lot all to myself until people started to come and then of course, got their beer and pop cans and paper products  for us to pick up in the morning.  I don't like to fight the traffic either and can see the fireworks right from my own backyard....except for the ones low to the ground.  But that's ok....been there, done that so no big loss...lol   I get emails from friends in our community there in Florida.  They have had rain...but still not enough to fill the ponds back up yet.  But hopefully, they will by the time summer is over.  They say HOT & HUMID down there too...but just in the low/mid-90's and we can get that here too.  Sooo
good we have a/c.  The pool at Midland is heated now...so that's nice.  Midland is really picking up and being run like a business...not a 'hobby'...grounds look so nice with plants/flowers and the course is excellent too.  Nice to see it looking nice and the pool too.  They painted the pool too this year which was needed.  The pool didn't get the attention it should have for many years...so nice to see it looking so nice too.
