Jane that stuff it making the rounds all over. Can turn to pnemonia so keep an eye out. Nothing to fool around with and some people have it for 3-4 weeks! Some up in Galva and others in other parts of country. Sleep is best. Drink plenty of fluids..and HOT TANG..as hot and strong as can ...sip, sip, sip...flushes the system.

Yes, Sharon. He is sleeping with head elevated. And he sits in his recliner some during the night. Still miserable. But we will wear it out. Was a nice day and he thought he might feel like taking a walk this afternoon, but he went back to bed and is still sleeping.
Glad to hear that your tree problem has been solved. Just glad that you didn't get the awful damage that happened in Alabama.

Is Andy sleeping with his head elevated? It really helps when chest is full and naps in the daytime are wonderful when it's cold.
My tree removal problem may take care of itself. We have had a few storms with heavy winds. Next day I go out with my nifty cart.....large, 4 wheels and steadier than a wheelbarrow, and pick up the branches and twigs. Sunday night we had a bang up storm with lots of WIND! Yesterday I couldn't believe the huge limbs that had fallen. What a mess. I couldn't lift a few of them but did make lots of trips to the woods with my cart and big dog supervising. I was lucky because many people had trees down, some folks without electricity and I bi-passed all that. Now that poor old tree might be more manageable and I can hire a good guy to just cut down the rest...what is left. More rain coming in a couple of days....Oh what I would give to just be warm and sit on the porch watching my flowers grow.

Andy saw the PA...Chip. Chip said "Upper respiratory infection" not bronchitis. Gave him a scrip for antibiotics. So hopefully he will start to mend here in the near future. Doesn't sleep much at night.....naps in the daytime. He is getting better and hope we see an improvement in the next few days. Some people have had this develop into other stuff and we sure don't want that to happen.

Bronchitis. That is my diagnosis. Andy is going to the dr. this afternoon for some meds. Hope they do the trick. He is feeling some better, but I can hear the 'voices' when he breathes...his bronchial tubes must be completely full. As I've said before, nursing is not my thing, but I am doing my best.

A cool and foggy Sunday here in Missouri. Andy is still down with the cold, but I think he is getting some better. Hope that this weather doesn't turn ugly on us. Things to do this next week and I'd rather get them done than have to postpone them.

Kind of chilly out today. Went to the Historium for the last session of Family Tree works taught by a friend from Mt. Home. It was so interesting. Makes me want to drop everything and get out my notes and add to the stuff I already have. Unfortunately I did not take the advice of a friend when I started in to just stick with one family line at a time. No....I've got all of mine and all of Andy's up to a certain point. It is just so interesting when you get into it. Just ask my cousin Sandy. She got bit by the 'bug' too.

Well, Andy had the chest cold. So I have gone to the pharmacy, library and grocery store and am hunkered down for the siege. Actually, he is not a bad patient. I am just an unwilling nurse.

Andy and I are both fighting off a cold. Have been trying to go out to the farm and work all week. But when your head is stopped up and the wind is blowing 40 MPH from the north you have a tendency to put it off until better weather, that's for sure. Will go to Lion's Club today and see folks I haven't seen for awhile. We just don't get to go as much anymore with our work out on the place. Of course, they are trying to get people to introduce new members to the club since it, as so many others, is losing membership and active people at a great rate. But we are so seldom there that we don't feel like finding a new member and then abandoning them. Oh well....some things are optional, as I frequently tell myself.

How exciting for you Sandy. Know it will be wonderful.
Ended up going to West Plains and meeting some friends for lunch and a visit. It was so cold and windy out that Andy decided to put off the work for today and do it tomorrow. And it is supposed to get very cold tonight. Will need to put an extra blanket on the bed. Could use a few of those over-100 degrees that we had this summer tonight! Why,oh,why are we never satisfied?

Yesterday, central Illinois got up to 51. Amazing. Rain early a.m. and now the wind is blowing and we're expecting it to get down to 12 this evening. No snow in forcast & I hope that is true. This has been crazy December/January weather. A couple of weeks, and I'll be leaving for my son's wedding on a beach in the Bahamas!!! Jane, thanks for the info on quick-reverse drops; my eye exam is next week!

Woke up with the lazys. No ambition. Good thing that nothing has to be done today.

Yearly visit to the eye doctor was good. I remembered to ask the tech to give me the quick-reverse drops when they finished my exam. Wow....I can see. I always hated having goofy eyes for 24 hours after my exam. Now I know the best way out of that!

Chilly here too. We didn't get much snow but it looks as if they got more north and east of here. All gone now I imagine. We decided to take a drive to Branson after church today. Ate at our favorite Thai restaurant. The new year brought a hike in prices there so it will become one of those 'treat' places. That's OK. We like to indulge every once in awhile. What's life if you can't enjoy a little get-away every once in a while! Have a good week everyone. Glad to hear about your find Wayne. Let us know how it comes out. Always nice to find a 'find'!
