Chilly this AM....46 here in the valley. Andy is off to the farm. Alas, I am still sneezing. Thought I was over it,but yesterday my allergies started in again. Good news is that I am still losing at WW. And so I am off to the treadmill at the Sr. Center. Have found that exercise and diet are the key things for me getting a little more fit. We need rain badly. Andy watered the new pine trees last night...he said they were dying. The ones we planted last year seem to be doing fine. Also watered some of the other new ones. People are already having to water their new gardens. And stuff is just sitting there....putting on blooms etc. but not much hope for good crops until we get some rain. Hate to think what will happen if it doesn't come in time.
Anyway....on a brighter note, it looks like another beautiful day out there. Hope you all have a good one.

Worked at the Historium this AM. We started putting up our Civil War exhibit. Some interesting things. The last surviving veteran of the Civil War in Missouri is buried near here and his story is fascinating...lived to be 105. Someone brought in a genuine spyglass used during the war. Lots of pictures of family members etc. And lots more to come. Once we start an exhibit, everyone brings more things in until we have so much material it is unbelieveable. Great stories too. Enjoy my work. Of course, it helps being a history nut.

Good to hear from you Wayne. We need rain here too. It is so dry. Garden stuff is just sitting there. Lots of people are already watering. All the moisture goes around us...and heads north. Hope someone is getting it. I hear they have had a lot of rain in the last few days in Texas. They can use it....and so could we. I say....share. That would be the neighborly thing to do!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Cloudy all day here. Took Mom out for brunch to a small cafe close to us. Big crowd. We are on water restriction. Only water from 4am to 8am two times a week. I water only my flowers. The grass is brown. Surpose to have showers tomorrow. Not going to hold my breath. Gas prices have gone down some but not enough for me. Saw $3.47 today at one station others are still $3.54. Wish it was the same as it was when I was growning up. Just a few years a go. HA,HA. I wish.

Walked out at the farm today...no problems with the allergies so I guess I'm good to go. Andy is digging up the ditch the water pipes are in....it needs to go deeper. Quite a job. Tomorrow is PEO in the morning. Then tomorrow night we are going to a square dance in Ava. I will try to dance...see if my knee will take it. Andy wanted me to phone the dr. and see if it would be OK. But I know what he will say...ask the therapist. And the therapist? Ask the dr. No one wants to weigh in on this. So I am going to take it easy dancing. If it hurts I will stop. If it doesn't I will keep on.
Hope you all have a great weekend. We are going to a play in Mt. Home for Mother's Day.

Just a perfect day outside. Really wanted to go out to the farm and walk today, but thought it was not worth the pain. So I went my 4 miles on the treadmill over at the Center. The car is in the shop so I will take my 'bag-lady' bag and walk downtown and run my errands. Hopefully that won't trigger runny eyes and sneezes. Hope everyone is having a beautiful day...where ever you are!

I guess I am officially old. I cannot find a pair of shoes that are comfortable. The ones I have are about worn out and the shoe companies have stopped making them. In the process of sending some back that I thought should fit...but they do not. Will have to make do with what I have until I find some that suit me. Would hate to go barefoot.

Got lazy yesterday and took the day off, made a trip to West Plains to have lunch with friends and then home in time for WW meeting. Today I got Andy on his way to the farm and then went to SR. Citizens and walked the treadmill for 4 miles. Not as much fun as a walk outside, but that would be impossible right now...my eyes would be swollen shut by mile 1. Need to get going here and get something done. Hope everyone had a great weekend. And that you are doing fine today too.

Pretty quiet on here. We went to Bentonville and Branson over the weekend. Saw the new exhibit at Crystal Bridges. Andy got to shake hands with Alice Walton which was a big thrill for both of us. He thanked her for bringing this wonderful museum to our part of the world...and sharing her collection with us. Drove back to Branson and spent the night and went to Silver Dollar City in the morning. It was the last day of the World Fest. We didn't see any of the shows...just wandered around and enjoyed the things we did see. Came home early afternoon. Very tired. My allergies have kicked in and I have been pretty miserable for a few days. Yesterday was the worst. Need to stay inside and take my medicine for a few days. Will go over to the Sr. Center and do the treadmill for exercise tomorrow. Weighed in for Weight Watchers tonight. I have reached my 10% goal. Need to just keep on exercising and watching what I eat. Feeling good about the program. Just a matter of paying attention to my diet and making sure I stick to the routine. Sometimes it's hard but I feel so much better it is worth it all.

Hi Carolyn. No, he is on Tambocor. Has been for 4 years. The pacemaker really helped. No more dizzy spells and passing out! That's a good thing.

Is Andy on Pradaxa for his heart? My husband is on that for his irregular heartbeat. Sure does work good for him. I am a friend of Cherie......

Andy got a good report from his heart doctor today. Has had his pacemaker for over a year and all is well...just one small adjustment and he is good to go for another six months. So happy that medicine has reached the point where people with irregular heartbeat can live a normal life.

I am so happy. I got to quilt all day today! Yipee. I really miss it. Got caught up on all the news. Got to see my quilting friends and spend time with them. Had a wonderful lunch. We put in an new quilt....double wedding ring...and it is gorgeous. Pieced by a 91 year old woman who has had us do several of her tops. It is going to be beautiful when we get it done. I hope I can manage to reserve more Weds for one of the things I love best.
